💡 How Hints Work

Stuck? Find valid non-theme words to fill your hint meter. Once full, use a hint to highlight part of a theme word. Use them wisely — finishing without hints is the real challenge.
How to Find Non-Theme, Theme Words and Spangram
Let us talk about some effective tips and tricks that can assist you in solving the Strands puzzle game. When you first look at the board, focus on finding any valid words you can spot. Even if they are non-theme words, they help fill your hint meter. Once your hint meter is full, you can reveal a theme word.
The spangram is the most critical element on the board. Since it always touches two opposite sides of the grid, scanning the edges is a great strategy. If you know the day's clue, try to guess the core subject and look for a word that stretches across the entire puzzle. Finding the spangram early breaks the board into smaller sections, making the remaining theme words much easier to uncover.
